MAKING BASTILA
A List of all Sources I Used To Create Bastila Shan
Note that while I got Rebel Legion approval with these sources, it does not mean that you are guaranteed approval if you follow these same steps. These companies also have no affiliation with the Rebel Legion at all, nor do I speak on behalf of the Legion. This is just my way of trying to help people out since Bastila is my most asked about cosplay.
LEATHER ARMOR
I bought this from an Etsy store called "MarieCosplayShop". It came with the top armor, skirt/belt with two pouches, and two armbands. She uses faux leather and will custom make the costume to your size. The costume is expensive, but the quality is phenomenal.
BODYSUIT
I bought an open face zentai bodysuit, specifically the "Sheface Men's and Women's Face Open Zentai Lycra Spandex Bodysuits" in the color brown. To me, the brown looked to match what is seen in the video game. If you can find one that is headless and handless that's ideal, but at the time I couldn't so I went with this one. I cut the hands off right at the wrist and didn't bother to hem it because it's spandex so the material doesn't unravel, and the leather arm cuffs cover the rough edge cosmetic wise. I also cut off the head, but made sure to keep the zipper intact. That means that there is awkwardly a long zipper that continues past my neckline. I hide this two ways. One, I wear the entire bodysuit backwards so the zipper is in the front. This makes it so that the zipper isn't seen as the leather armor covers it completely in the front. And two, I take the extra zipper and tuck it down back into the bodysuit. Again, the leather armor covers this so it can't be seen. As you can see, finding a headless one is easier, though I would still recommend wearing it backwards so that the zipper can't be seen in the back.

LIGHTSABER
My hilt is from Ultrasabers because that was the cheapest option, at least at the time I put together my cosplay. Since Bastila has a doublebladed lightsaber, that means you need two hilts and the connector piece. I bought the saber to be yellow when on, however I noticed after my first troop that they loose battery power pretty fast and will turn red within twenty minutes. To combat this, I bought dayblades from Kyberlight. I waited for a buy one get one sale and bought two yellow dayblades. (Dayblades means that the blade itself is yellow so that the color can be seen outside and in well lit areas. The blades that came with the Ultrasabers sabers are clear.) Since getting the dayblades I've kept those in and don't use the clear ones anymore. The lightsaber can still be turned on and be seen as yellow even with the Dayblades.
BOOTS
I bought my boots from amazon. They were called, "Forever Sonny-54 Women's Stylish Round Toe Buckle Zipper Slouchy Mid-Calf Riding Boots Shoes". I bought them in tan because I thought that matched best. My friend I believe bought the brown ones. Note that while I was approved with them as is, no modification, my friend had to cut the straps and buckle off of hers in order to be approved.

HAIR & MAKEUP
I use my own hair for this cosplay so I can't be of any help as far as wigs go. But for styling, I straighten my hair first. Then I part my hair in the middle of my head. I pull a small section of hair (the part that would be your bangs if you had any) and brush that smooth and pull it straight back and tie with a tiny hair tie. (Sometimes when doing this I leave a small section on the right side out and when I'm done pull it forward across to the left, similar to how her hair sections in the video game, but this is not necessary.) Then I section my hair in half along the part and tie my hair into two even pigtails. I just use black hair ties for the two pigtails.
As far as makeup goes I try to keep it looking as natural as possible. I use a light amount of foundation, no blush, a nude lipstick, nude eyeshadow, and a simple black mascara.
